TAGG stands for Teens Always Glorifying God. The name stems from 1st Corinthians 10:31, "Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God." It is our Youth Ministry at Calvary Independent Church in Wahiawa, HI. We meet every Wednesday night from 6:30-8:00 pm. The age group is 7th grade-12th grade. There are some exceptions with Pastor Adam's approval. We play games, have snacks, meet for prayer, and learn more about God's Word. We welcome all young people to come and learn more about God's Word.
My purpose: As the Youth Pastor my purpose is to preach God's Word so that your teenager will learn to live by it.
TAGG goals:
- To lead teenagers to accept Christ as there personal Savior.
- Once they are Christians, to help them grow in their relationship with Christ.
- To help them to know and understand God's Word.
- To help them make wise, bible based decisions when faced with peer pressure or tough decisions.
- To show them that they can have fun as a Christian and not have to give in to sin.
- To help them avoid temptations from the devil.
- To help teenagers to love God not the world.
- To help them as a teenager grow into a godly adult and glorify God in every aspect of their life.
